The seven entries into the Chili Cook-Off

Kappa Delta and Lambda Chi Alpha hosted their annual chili cook off last Tuesday in McCoy. They raised $70 along with 66 pounds of canned goods to donate to the local soup kitchen. It cost five canned goods or $5 to enter a chili, and three canned goods or three dollars to eat unlimited chili. Years ago, the chili cook off with Kappa Delta and Lambda Chi was just a social event, it has developed into an annual community service event that is open to the entire campus. This year was the best one yet with overall attendance and amount donated, and hopefully it will continue to grow every year.

Seven people entered Chili to win a hot prize. Each person that tasted the chili got to vote on who had the best chili.

first place Aryn Copeland, second place Haley Wilson, third place Andrea Barga

Savanna Burcham

Savanna is a senior, business major, swimmer, and Kappa Delta. She likes to take long walks with her cat.
