Kappa Delta Event Creates Over 50 Heating Pads for Hope House

On January 24, the Kappa Delta’s hosted Cocoa for a Cause. They invited everyone to come out and make heating pads for the women of Hope House, the local women’s shelter. Together they made over 50 heating pads and then enjoyed some hot chocolate.

Haley Wilson, the Vice President of Community Service and event planner, she said, “We did it to help the women’s shelter as well as to help promote our philanthropies on campus, and to encourage those interested in Greek life to get to know us.”

Kappa Delta started the confidence coalition in 2009, which addresses the many issues that diminish confidence in women and girls. For this reason, Haley felt the Hope House would benefit in “providing comfort for the women and helping them have more confidence in their daily lives.”

“[Kappa Delta is] providing comfort for the women and helping them have more confidence in their daily lives.” – Haley Wilson
