SGA: What They Discussed on Nov. 12

The Student Government Association (SGA) hosted its weekly open meeting today. All members of the Wilmington College community are invited and encouraged to attend these meetings as it is a direct form of communication to the student government.

Approximately eleven people attended the meeting. They represented SGA, Art Club, Men of Excellence, and The Witness.

Below are the topics presented by the SGA board on the Nov. 12 meeting:

Kaleb Hubner, the vice president of administration, reported that he has finished a bulletin board display featuring the Student Senate. He is working with Kameron Rinehart to update information on wc@home.

Chase Menchofer, the vice president of faculty, alumni, and trustees, reported that he finished a flyer to advertise the upcoming SGA forum.

Chris Zody, the vice president of SGA, reported that there was a Student Senate meeting last week. In which, they wrote a draft of their constitution. They will edit it at their next meeting and submit it to SGA.

Nate Johnson, the vice president of finance, reported that he has turned in all budget-related paperwork that he had received.

Rinehart, the president of SGA, reported that SGA will host a “faculty and staff appreciation get-together” on Dec. 2. Sigrid Solomon sent out electronic invitations for the event. He is working with Hubner to update wc@home. He also reported that SGA is missing several student organization constitutions; they are currently being tracked down. Petition packets for the next SGA election will be made available two weeks into the spring semester.
