Veterinarians of Tomorrow (VOT) is a club at Wilmington College for students interested in and have a love of animals, and their first meeting will be on September 27 at 7 pm in the Student Lounge in the library.
The club currently has about five active members but is in the process of acquirement. Students do not have to be pre-vet to join.
Chelsea Argo said, “[At meetings] we mainly just talk about what we have planned thus far for the semester. We will be discussing possible events for this fall and also try to get a set day and time for regular monthly meetings.”
The club does not have any events set in stone yet. However, the officers have discussed with our advisor about having a veterinarian or vet school student come visit to talk and answer questions from students who are interested in becoming vets.
“This club has been struggling to have active members the past two years. I am trying my absolute best to build the club up and make it better than it has been.” – Chelsea Argo, member of VOT
Argo also said, “This club has been struggling to have active members the past two years. I am trying my absolute best to build the club up and make it better than it has been.”
VOT does a lot of events and fundraising for the Wilmington Area Humane Society and would like to continue doing as much as they can for them and the animals.
